To find a cost-effective solution for extended life cycle of grab bucket.
A site visit was requested for advice on repairing grab buckets. Drawing from experience, we advised that patching up of a badly worn bucket was not ideal for long term longevity
For a minimal additional cost Pegasus Profiles could provide new front edges and side Jaws from Hardox 450 Wear Plate to give much needed longer life cycle
Dimensions were taken and drawings produced, and new edges and jaws were manufactured for the customer to remove the old worn components and weld in the new wear parts provided by Pegasus Profiles in workshop conditions.
The Result
Was providing the end user, a grab bucket that functions as new doubling the lifetime cycle at a significantly lower cost than a replacement bucket.
Since the success of the refurbishment, further visits have been made on site and a maintenance plan put in place for ongoing refurbishment of the site grab buckets.
